Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Parents of some students created ruckus at CM Rise Public School at Barkhedi after it surfaced that teacher Ashutosh Pandey allegedly molested at least three students studying in different classes. With parents’ adamant on taking action against the accused teacher, the school administration called Jehangirabad police and handed over Pandey to them.
Enraged parents even tried to assault the teacher while he was taken out and escorted to police vehicle. Further action will be initiated into the incident following investigation, police officials said. According to reports, parents of a student of class 8 reached the school on Thursday morning and alleged that Ashutosh Pandey had indulged in obscene acts with their son who had reached home crying. Soon parents of some other students also reached the school and created a ruckus making same allegations.
Mother of a student of class 6 alleged that the teacher forced her to do inappropriate acts and indulged in indecent conversation. Parents of another student also made similar allegations. The parents claimed that the teacher was involved in similar acts with other students also who are yet to come forward.
Principal of CM Rise School KD Srivastava called police when the crowd of parents tried to enter school premises forcibly while demanding action against the teacher. They tried to assault Pandey while cops were taking him to the police station in their vehicle. Parents even reached Jehangirabad police station.
However, police did not allow them to enter police station premises. Teacher Ashutosh Pandey is posted at the same school for the past 20 years and his retirement is due next year. Principal of CM Rise School KD Srivastava said the statements of students have been recorded and a copy of it has been handed over to the police.
DEO will probe into allegations made by parents following which further action will be initiated against the accused teacher, he added. In-charge at Jehangirabad Police Station Ashutosh Upadhyay said a complaint has been received in this connection. Further action will be taken on the basis of facts found during investigation; he added.
