Gujarat Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera Meets DPIFF CEO Abhishek Mishra to Discuss Cultural Tourism Growth

On Monday, Gujarat Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera met with Abhishek Mishra, CEO of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF), in Bhuj, Gujarat, to advance their six-year partnership. The meeting centered on enhancing the collaboration between DPIFF and Gujarat’s thriving tourism sector.

Discussions highlighted Gujarat’s evolving tourism landscape and DPIFF’s role in showcasing the state as a vibrant cultural and travel destination. The minister emphasized Gujarat’s unique attractions, including the sacred Somnath Jyotirling, a magnet for pilgrims and tourists; the Gir Forest, home to the rare Asiatic lion; the breathtaking Rann of Kutch, famous for its white salt desert and lively festivals; and the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue honoring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He also celebrated the global recognition of Shivrajpur Beach in Devbhumi Dwarka, which earned Blue Flag certification for its cleanliness, safety, and environmental sustainability.

Since 1995, Minister Mulubhai Bera has been a dedicated servant of Gujarat’s people, earning recognition as a leader committed to public welfare. His focus on advancing the state’s tourism sector underscores his role as a true advocate for Gujarat’s cultural and economic progress.
