Actor Dilip Arya who essayed the character of Shiv Kumar Patel aka Dadua, a dreaded dacoit of Bundelkhand received the Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman Award at the hands of honorable ministers for legislative, Justice, Rural Engineering Service, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh Shri. Brajesh Pathak, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal – Honorable Education Minister, Govt. of India, Dr. Dinesh Sharma – Honorable Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Shri. Ashutosh Tandon – Honorable Minister of Urban Development overall Urban Development, Urban Employment, and Poverty Alleviation, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, and Shri. Jai Kumar Singh. – Jail and Public Service Management, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.
The web series available in multiple Indian languages has been able to attract a lot of viewers and people are appreciating the performance essayed by Dilip. Coming from a small village Amauli in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh where his father worked as a mason, Dilip’s story to tinsel town has been of grit and perseverance. “Lucknow had a special place in my heart as I am an alumnus of Bhartendu Natya Akademi. The award has made it all the more special” said a humble Dilip as he signed off for the moment.
