કોરોનાના સંકટ વચ્ચે અમેરિકાએ મોટો નિર્ણય લીધો છે. અમેરિકાએ હાલ પુરતું ઈમિગ્રેશન બંધ કર્યુ છે. હવે કોઈ અમેરિકામાં માઈગ્રેટ નહીં થઈ શકે. અમેરિકામાં સ્થાનિકોની નોકરીઓ બચાવવા માટે ડોનાલ્ડ ટ્રમ્પે જાહેરાત કરી છે. ત્યારે હવે કોઈ પણ દેશના લોકો અમેરિકા જઈ શકશે નહીં. પ્રમુખ ટ્રમ્પે ટવીટ કરી જણાવ્યું હતું કે કોરોનાની મહામારી વચ્ચે પણ અમેરિકાના નાગરિકોની નોકરીઓની ૨ક્ષા ક૨વી જરૂરી હોઈ, હું અમેરિકામાં હંગામી રીતે ઈમિગ્રેશન સસ્પેન્ડ ક૨વા આદેશ કરૂં છું. અમેરિકામાં કોરોનાના અત્યા૨ સુધી ૭ લાખથી વધુ કેસો નોંધાયા છે, અને વિશ્વમાં તે સૌથી પ્રભાવિત દેશ છે. ગત મહિને તેઓ મહામારીના કા૨ણે રૂટીન વિઝા સર્વિસ બંધ કરી હતી. ટ્રમ્પે ઈમિગ્રેશન વિઝા સસ્પેન્ડ ક૨વાની વાત કરી છે, પણ ત્યા૨બાદ આઈટી વ્યવસાયીઓમાં લોકપ્રિય એચ-૧બી વિઝા નોન-ઈમિગ્રન્ટ વિઝા છે. કોરોનાના કા૨ણે અમેરિકામાં રેકોર્ડ છટણી થઈ છે. લગભગ ૨.૨ કરોડ અમેરિકનોએ બેરોજગારી ભથ્થા માટે અ૨જી કરી હતી.
